Summer Holiday Stuff

We’re so lucky to be in the heart of the action for a Staycation

Here's a rundown of some of the family activities happening locally in the Nine Elms Battersea area.

Open Air Cinema

The open-air cinema runs again at Battersea Power Station but this time, as the park has now opened, you’ll be seated right in front of the iconic building itself. Curated and run by Cinema in the Arches, magical evenings are promised with lots of blockbusters to keep you on the edge of your seats.

Messy Play

Weekly Arts & Crafts for the little ones (0-4 years) is offered at Yvonne Carr Centre through August. These “Messy Play” sessions on Thursdays offer a morning of fun for small children and their parents or carers. Older siblings, up to the age of 8, are also welcome. There is no need to book; just turn up and play!

Summer Basketball Camp

In mid-August there’s Summer Basketball Camp at Doddington Community Centre for young people eligible for free school meals. After an exciting 3 days of Basketball Camp take it easy with a range of fun enrichment activities before heading off for a 2-hour bounce at Go Ape Battersea Park.

Victorian Vauxhall Funfair

At the end of August Bank Holiday weekend the Victorian Vauxhall Funfair offers circus acts, music and dancing, fancy dress competition and vintage games galore. Free for all to attend and suitable for little kids and big kids too!
